PhD Candidate - Geography, Planning and Design
Hello!
I am an interdisciplinary mountain hydrologist with training in Geology (B.S.) and Physical Geography (M.S., Ph.D.), working at the intersection of cryospheric science, hydrology, and society. Grounded in critical physical geography, my research recognizes that environmental crises are rarely the result of insufficient scientific knowledge alone, but emerge through the institutional, political, and historical structures that shape society. I integrate process-based hydrologic and cryospheric science with attention to governance, power, and decision-making. My work advances understanding of mountain water resources, examining how climate-driven changes in snowpack and glacier systems alter the timing, magnitude, and reliability of downstream water supply, ecosystems, and hazard risk. I am committed to science communication and public engagement, and actively collaborate with researchers, practitioners, and institutions working toward equitable and resilient responses to environmental change.
