Jonathan W. Burton
PhD Candidate - Geography, Planning and Design
I am a PhD Candidate in the Geography, Planning and Design program at University of Colorado - Denver. My background is in Geology (Bachelors of Science) and Physical Geography (Masters of Science). My research draws from a deep understanding of physical science to analyze the interplays of power, the historical production of landscapes, and glacier science. I use Political Ecology and Critical Physical Geography (CPG) to explore the intersection of climate change and development. The research projects I've been involved with are eclectic but orbit this central question of social relations with the environment.
